Abstract

This research was conducted at Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. It focuses on protection provided by Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru on the basis of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Malaysia so that a type of protecton was formed which provide to Indonesian migrant workers who were legal and illegal. To uncover the problem, the author using in-depth qualitative research methods using by observation, interview and documented method. The researchers found the results that there are several stages carried out for the protection of Indonesian workers in accordance with problems and cases undertaken by related. Indonesian Migrant Workers is every citizen of Indonesia who is currently or has been doing work that receives wages outside the immediate area of Indonesian Migrant means a person who resigns from one place to another context of working abroad. Complaints, problem identification, contacting or research for related pubes, summons of relevant parties then brought according to the lines of mediation
