Partisipasi Masyarakat dalam Pengembangan Wisata Mangrove (Studi Kasus Desa Pengudang Kecamatan Teluk Sebong Kabupaten Bintan )

Abstract

Community participation is one thing that cannot be released in the development of the village community sector. The development of the tourism sector in the Dasa region, especially in the Pengudang Village of Bintan Regency is an area that involves ideas from the surrounding community to establish a Mangrove-based tourism site. The reality in running mangrove tourism is very difficult to convince the community to directly participate in managing the location. Minimal funds affect creative ideas that can actually support the development of mangrove tourism.The purpose of this research is to study and see the stages of the process of community participation in the development and management of Mangrove tourism sites established by the initiation of the village community groups. This type of research is qualitative research and uses data analysis techniques first data reduction or data selection, second data presentation and third conclusion or verification of data. The results of this study are first, community participation in decision making is to make tourist attractions as additional income both for managers, village government, Bumdes and especially the community. Second, in the process of implementing community involvement in the construction of tourist sites from non-governmental funds and also the assistance of workers from the community so that managers can run the tourist sites properly. Third, the use of the results also the community has begun to get results from the existence of these attractions through events created by the tour manager. Fourth, in the evaluation stage the manager still involves only internal management of tourism so that the community and other parties are still difficult in providing suggestions or ideas to be able to work together to develop the Mangrove tourism.The conclusion that the level of participation in the community is still very diverse and is still very minimal due to conditions and conditions
