Abstract

Madrasah Tsanawiyah School (MTS) Bintan state has madrasah discipline is made based on the values embraced by madrasah and surrounding communities, which include: ketaqwaan value, social manners, discipline, order, health, neatness, security and values that support effective learning activities. Each student is obliged to carry out the provisions stated in this code in a continuous and mindful manner one of which is the smoking ban. However, students who are at Madrasah Tsanawiyah school in Bintan State have mimicked the smoking behavior of what has been seen from their peers. The purpose of this study is to decrypt smoking behavior in students in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Bintan State. In this study the authors used a research method that is qualitative descriptive. Based on the results of the study, it is known that smoking behavior in students in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Bintan State is done because the student started smoking because of the co-opt of friends and invited by his peers the students can not resist because of the proximity to the smoker usually they are affected with his good friend who has been close lying like often spending time together, playing outside the school until the study so it is very easy to influence then the students who smoke from trial to addiction until the moment This. They also smoke in crowded school environments. Then the smoking behavior shown is the smoking behavior of students is that they feel addicted to cigarettes, even often leave the classroom only to smoke then smoke during sports hours because sports hours usually study outside the classroom, then smoke in the school toilet and school cafeteria, the students are already affected by cigarette opiates, even they are not afraid to skip, or smoke in the school environment, even though the school has its rules
