Abstract

Companies generally have the same activity orientation, maximize profits and create value for stakeholders and shareholders. As an effort to achieve the existing orientation, the company will continue to strive to improve the performance of the workers and the company as a whole. As a step to improve performance, efficiency and professionalism in the business world, a principle emerged which is believed to encourage performance improvements for the sake of the company's future business sustainability. This principle is Good Corporate Governance, which has been recognized since the 1997 economic crisis, a prolonged crisis which was judged to be due to companies not being managed responsibly, as well as ignoring regulations and laden with practices of corruption, collusion, and nepotism. With the spirit to create a conducive business climate, economic recovery, and create a clean government, then the principles of Good Corporate Governance began to be tried to be applied in Indonesia since 1999, including State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), as a response to past history. the bad one. Pelabuhan Indonesia Tanjungpinang Branch has an obligation to implement Good Corporate Governance as mandated in the Regulation of the Minister of State for SOEs No. PER-09/MBU/2012. This study aims to analyze the application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance, namely transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness in services at the Port of Sri Bintan Pura. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method, this study concludes that the application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance at the Port of Indonesia service Tanjungpinang Branch at the Port of Sri Bintan Pura has implemented the principles of Good Corporate Governance and the company still has shortcomings in the principle of transparency in terms of information. weather forecasts and has not been maximized in socializing the application of cashless transactions.
