Abstract

Charcoal kiln becomes a source of livelihood of Dompak society in fulfilling their daily needs, this situation is utilized mostly by the community by working as a charcoal kild worker. Those who work by producing charcoal to be marketed from these results they will receive results or income according to their duties. Its existence has been around 50 years in the midst of society. With this existence, the relationship between the community itself is good with the boss, by creating a good relationship between the community, the community and the owner, but also the relationship between the community and the environment forms the community's behavior of dependence on charcoal kiln. The research method used in the study is qualitative research with descriptive approach. The data collected in this study was carried out through structured interviews using interview guidelines and participatory observation conducted to the Dompak community, as well as documentation. With five informants namely the Dompak community. The data analysis techniques used in the study are data reduction, data presentation, verification or drawing conclusions. This study aims to determine the impact of the closure of the charcoal kild for the people of Dompak. The results of this study are to show that the impact of the closure of charcoal kiln for the Dompak community changes the social life of the people who work as charcoal workers, namely the impact on habits. Habits are seen from the livelihoods, relationships, education and mindset of the community itself
