The research conducted by the Researcher is a type of qualitative research, and the Researcher uses a normative legal research method. The problem approach used in this research is the Legislative approach. Detention of a Ship takes a long time because, the detention of a Ship occurs during the investigation process, and during the investigation process by Investigators through confiscation of the Ship.
