Only difference is the concept of coffee in the past and now. In the past, the habit of coffee for the Lingga community was a mandatory drink for every breakfast and made provision for work, the coffee consumed was only in the form of original black coffee, but the concept of coffee today has shifted, people enjoy coffee that can be enjoyed by all groups from children to adults because coffee is served in various variants
The method in this study uses a qualitative method, with a descriptive approach because the researcher tries to describe, reveal and explain the phenomenon in a systematic, factual, accurate way about the coffee culture of the Malay community in Daik Lingga. The data was obtained by researchers through interviews using interview guidelines and observations of informants. The criteria for informants in this study are the Daik Lingga community who become coffee shop customers every day. Daik Lingga people who understand coffee culture, and Malay traditional leaders Daik Lingga. The results of this study found that the activity of coffee without realizing it had started to become a culture in the Malay community of Daik Lingga and was very attached to the Lingga community. Starting from a habit in the family every morning breakfast or before leaving for works is always served with coffee and that has happened to this day. And it becomes a habit of the people every day. Even if you don't drink coffee at home, you will still be looking for coffee outside and this keeps happening over and over again.
