PERAN DINAS PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN PERLINDUNGAN ANAK DAN PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT (DP3APM) DALAM PENANGANAN TINDAK PELECEHAN SEKSUAL TERHADAP ANAK DI KOTA TANJUNGPINANG

Abstract

Cases of sexual abuse against children in Tanjungpinang City are still happening and have increased from 2017 to 2019; In 2017 there were 2 cases, in 2018 there were 6 cases and in 2019 there were 13 cases of sexual abuse against children. This needs to be taken seriously by the government, communities and victims' families. The role of the government is to guarantee protection for children which can be realized by protecting and providing children's rights, as well as obtaining protection from violence and abuse. This research examines the role of the Women's Empowerment Service for Child Protection and Community Empowerment in handling sexual abuse against children. In this study the authors used a qualitative descriptive research type. The role of the Women Empowerment Service for Child Protection and Community Empowerment in Handling Sexual Abuse against Children in Tanjungpinang City is handled through the Integrated Service Center for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (P2TP2A), which is still under the auspices of the Tanjungpinang City DP3APM in the field of Women's Protection and Partnerships. . From the results of the research, it can be seen from the role of duties and functions, in providing the handling that has been carried out, namely coordinating with related agencies, mentoring psychologists and providing facilities according to the needs of child victims, but not all child victims are given psychologist assistance because of the role of parents who do not provide support and think his son is fine. And in fulfilling the availability of facilities and infrastructure is not optimal, because there are no safe houses or open houses and currently still use the property of P2TP2A Riau Islands Province. P2TP2A is currently in the process of becoming a Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) to increase the capacity of services and institutions to provide information and handle cases
