Abstract

Data on fires that occurred in Tanjung Pinang City within one year were 242 cases. The fire incidents in Tanjungpinang city consisted of house fire (including shop houses, workshop buildings, warehouses), forest fires, motor vehicle fires (cars, motorbikes, ships) and other fires (Trapo fires or PLN substations, electricity trapos at home). On average there is an increase in the frequency of fires in 2017 and 2018 therefore it is necessary to increase awareness of fires that occur mainly forest and land fires. On average, in the last 5 years, there have been 28 house fires, 76 forest fires, 6 vehicle fires, and 8 others. This study aims to determine the pattern of coordination carried out by the Tanjungpinang Regional Disaster Management Agency given the increasing number of fires from year to year. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, data collection techniques conducted with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study are several components consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research the coordination pattern conducted by the Tanjungpinang Regional Disaster Management Agency has been running optimally where BPBD has established coordination with various related agencies such as the Satkar PP Damkar, Basarnas, Police, Pdam, Kodim, Pu, and Social Services. In order to facilitate the service, a Damkar assistance post was built, for example in the Bukit Bestari area a water reservoir was built to serve fires around the site.
