Abstract

This research discusses how society still strongly believes in myths, beliefs in these myths are one of them in caring for babies. The myth of caring for babies in Kelong Village relates to the continuous behavior of being carried out with great confidence in the unseen and accompanied by daily prohibitions in the treatment process. In this study the authors used a type of qualitative Descriptive research. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the myth in treating babies in the village of Kelong until today is still in the living by the community, most people believe it because some of the mothers who are in Kelong village have been following some rules in caring for babies who teach their parents in particular to keep the baby in the disorder of delicate beings, habits are done hereditary , they assess and assume when the habit is derived is the most correct and good because the lowering is a parent who has proven to raise and care for his children.
