Abstract

This phenomenon of dancing girl Life in Bukit Katang Island Village has been a longstanding tradition, some of them are children who have dropped out of school with a poor economic category. So this work is done to help the family economy, most of which are livelihoods as fishermen. The purpose of this research is to describe the phenomenon of Putri Joget in Pulau Bukit Village, Katang Bidare District, Lingga Regency, Lingga Regency. The research method used is qualitative research, informants used as many as 8 people and researchers' data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are the phenomenon of the life of this Joget behavior in the village of Bukit Katang Island has indeed become a tradition that lasted quite a long time starting in 1970 and this has no definite record of his birth. Clothing worn by dancing dancers has become a public attraction, when if we hear dangdut music, we will respond to it by female dancers who wear tight, sexy and minimal clothing, attracting customers to dance together. Then the implementation of the tradition of jogging in the Bukit Island Village starts from 20:00 to 04:00 in the morning, which is carried out 14 to 17 rounds. With time until the end of 7 songs or with a time limit of approximately 25 to 30 minutes. The community sees its existence as an important means of entertainment for the people of Pulau Bukit Village, only there are a number of impacts including fights, destruction of the younger generation, disturbing the peace of the community at night, deviant behavior, which is getting drunk to the point of fighting between youths
