Abstract

Sexual harassment on children is a behavior that leads to sexual things in children, unwanted by
children, and has a negative impact on children. The number of child sexual abuse in
Tanjungpinang is still relatively high, the sexual harasser is also the closest person to the victim. So
researchers feel the need to conduct research under the title "Sexual Harassment of Minors in
Tanjungpinang (Case Study in the Tanjung Pinang Detention Center). The research method chosen
by the researcher is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive type, in which the researcher
will give a systematic, factual and accurate description, by finding and using data directly to
informants who are considered competent. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the
causes of sexual abuse to minors. In this study researchers used the Differential Association Theory
and social control. The results of the research are known the causes of sexual abuse in minors are:
1) porn movie addiction, 2) sexual needs are not met and 3) lack of involvement of the perpetrators
in the community
