Abstract

People's Seed Garden Activity, abbreviated as KBR, is an activity of making seedlings of timberproducing forest plants and non-timber forest products, which is managed by a village institution /
customary group / community group / social forestry forest farmer group, whose funding is sourced
from government funds and used for planting as part from community empowerment on Forest and
Land Rehabilitation activities. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Management of
Mangrove Forest Rehabilitation by Community Groups Through People's Seed Garden Activities
(KBR) in Batam City. By using management theory. The method used in this study is the Qualitative
Description approach with a number of informants as many as 3 people and using techniques and
data collection by means of interviews, documentation, and observation. The results of the study
found that the Management of Mangrove Forest Rehabilitation by Community Groups Through
People's Seed Garden Activities (KBR) in Batam City is currently running according to the plans of
the community group and BPDASHL Sei Jang Duriangkang but with the progress in stages there
are several obstacles in the implementation of activities
