Abstract

The role of the village government in development must function optimally so that development can run optimally. above the village government can exercise its authority in the fields of government, development and community empowerment in realizing the independence and prosperity of the community. village government has a very influential role especially in efforts to create a climate that encourages the growth of initiatives and self-help in the village. For this reason a village needs development, the purpose of the development carried out by the government is to improve the living standards of rural communities. Various sectors continue to be developed to achieve these goals. To carry out village autonomy, all village potentials in the form of institutions, natural resources and human resources must be optimized.The purpose of this research is the role of the Village Government in the development of Tebang Village, Palmatak District, Anambas Islands Regency. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research (qualitative research). This research was conducted in the village of Tebang, Palmatak District, Anambas Islands Regency. The data analysis technique is qualitative, starting with data reduction interview, data presentation and verification.The results of the study showed that the role of the village government in the dimension of the stabilizer was quite instrumental, innovators were sufficiently instrumental, pioneers were less instrumental, Modernizers were less instrumental.
