EVALUASI KINERJA KOMISI PEMILIHAN UMUM KOTA TANJUNGPINANG MELALUI SOSIALISASI POLITIK DALAM MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI PEMILIH (STUDI PEMILIHAN ANGGOTA DPRD KOTA TANJUNGPINANG 2019)

Abstract

The Legislative General Election was held simultaneously in 2019. Of course, these activities do not just happen but through processes and cooperation between related institutions including the General Election Commission in the regions. Through this research, the researcher wants to evaluate the performance that has been done by the KPU of Tanjungpinang City as an independent institution that organizes elections in conducting political outreach to the public so that it can increase voter participation. The research method used is descriptive method and uses a qualitative approach through data acquisition by observation, interviews and secondary data collection in the form of books, organizational structures, and some other literature related to this research. From the results of the research shows that the implementation of the performance of the KPU Tanjungpinang City in socializing to the community has been done well and received good responses from the community. However, in achieving the level of voter participation, the Election Commission of Tanjungpinang City has not met the national target.
