KEPRI SMART PROVINCE DALAM UPAYA PENINGKATAN PELAYANAN INFORMASI PUBLIK DI PROVINSI KEPULAUAN RIAU

Abstract

The increasing implementation of e-government in the organizing of local government is one of the targets contained in the Riau Islands Province regional development plan. The Provincial Communication and Information Department of Riau Islands to achieve the targets has been carrying out public information services development activities, Kepri Smart Province, and CO Working Space as part of the strategy and direction of development policy. Indicator of the target is the value of disclosure information Riau Islands Province increases according to the target stipulated in the Strategic Plan of Communication and Information Department.
The purpose of this research is to describe the stages of the strategy carried out by the Provincial Communications and Informatics Department of Riau Islands in the implementation Kepri Smart Province; to know the availability of supporting resources for the implementation of Kepri Smart Province, and to know the level of e-government development in the implementation of Kepri Smart Province in accordance with the impact of the program and organizational goals. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive.
The results of this research show that the strategy that has been run by the Department of Communications and Informatics of Riau Islands is quite good. Visible from the description of the right mission vision, availability of supporting infrastructure that has begun to be fulfilled, and has been available operational procedures for data request service. Although the desired outcome has not been reached and still lack the availability of human resources in running the program Kepri Smart Province.
