PENGEMBANGAN PARIWISATA BUDAYA DI PULAU PENYENGAT(Studi Pada Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Tanjungpinang)

Abstract

Penyengat Island is one of the cultural tourism destinations in the city of Tanjungpinang, in this island there are various historical relics which are the Masjid Raya Sultan Riau which is made from a mixture of cement and egg whites to make it more sturdy, tombs of the kings, tombs of the national hero Raja Ali Haji, Office Palace complex and fortress defence in Bukit Kursi, visitors who come to the tourist site Penyengat Island more decline than on the increase , and this is the problem as well as what the parties have to do in the improvement and to attract tourists to travel. The purpose of this research is to know how to develop cultural tourism in Penyengat Island. This method of research is a qualitative descriptive with the technique of data collection interviews, observations and documentation. The data analysis that authors use to analyse the data obtained from this research is using qualitative analysis. The results of the study, the Cultural and Tourism Office of the city of Tanjungpinang by making activities of tourism events, then cooperate with various parties such as art workshops, as well as utilize existing technologies such as websites, Instagram, Facebook, and other online media.  Accessibility, from the results of the study found that the access of tourists to the Penyengat Island Island using sea transportation can be said to be quite decent, although it remains to be done supervision and improvement such as the safety of passengers by providing a life jacket. Tourism area, found that the tourism area is also not adequate, this is due to the large amount of damage, then shortcomings such as public facilities such as WC, roads that are damaged, garbage can be minimal so that still visible garbage scattered. Human resources, found that the human resources that develop Penyengat Island Island is good, the government is a tourism office employees in cooperation with tourism conscious groups, even the ability of Pokdarwis Island Penyengat Island can be considered good because of the large number of activities and promotions for the development of Penyengat Island Island.  Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the tourism development in Penyengat Island has been running but not optimal this resulted in a tourist visit in Penyengat Island not to increase rapidly, from the observation of lack of coordination between the Government and the community. Insufficient infrastructure facilities, such as transportation access less secure, as well as public facilities are lacking
