DAMPAK KEBIJAKAN PEMBANGUNAN JEMBATAN TERHADAP PEREKONOMIAN MASYARAKAT DESA PENGUJAN KECAMATAN TELUK BINTAN KABUPATEN BINTAN

Abstract

Bridges are the needs of the Pengujan village community in terms of health, education, socio-economy to be fulfilled. From these problems, the government of Bintan Regency made a bridge construction policy to overcome these problems. Therefore this study aims to determine the impact of the bridge construction policy can improve the community's economy. The research informants were the Chairperson of the Directorate General of Highways of the Department of Public Works, Bintan Regency, the Head of Pengujan Village, District of Bintan, Miners of Pokcai, Head of hamlet I, Head of Hamlet II and Community. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques to answer research using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the bridge construction policy impacts on the Pengujan village community in crossing access to be easy but on the other hand the existence of the bridge has an impact on reducing the income of some people especially those who work as pokcai miners so that they lose their jobs. Conclusion, the impact of the policy in the contruction of the Pengujan Bridge, teluk Bintan District Bintan Regency can get community access, health education, and can improve the community's economy so that it becomes more prosperous. Suggestions, so that people who depend on livelihoods from crossing boats (Pokcai) are diverted to areas that have economic value.
