PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN MELALUI KELOMPOK USAHA BERSAMA (KUBE) DI DESA MALANG RAPAT

Abstract

Women's empowerment is seen as a process of awareness and capacity building towards greater participation, power, and oversight of decision making, and actions of transformation to produce greater equality between women and men. Efforts to empower women can be done by making them aware and helping to develop their existing potential, so that they become independent human beings. The research method used is descriptive type with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation. This study aims to determine the empowerment of women with Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE) in Malang Rapat based on 3 indicators, namely: awareness, capacity building, and empowerment. The results of this study indicate that KUBE empowerment has not gone well. Judging from the indicators used awareness from the government went well for the community to follow KUBE in order to make a better life, given the husband's uncertain income and from the government also has not provided training for the community and the lack of cooperation from the government to the private sector to increase access to marketing of KUBE products.
