Abstract

The city of Tanjungpinang is currently found to be widely used imported used clothing traders which are scattered in several places in the Tanjungpinang region which according to the Minister of Trade's Number 51 / M-DAG / PER / 72015 has been banned. Based on this, it can be stated the formulation of the problem in this study: (1) How is the crime of smuggling used clothing in TanjungPinang City? (2) What is the modus operandi of the smuggling of used clothing in the city of Tanjung Pinang? The method used in this study is the normative empirical method. The nature of descriptive research with primary and secondary data sources. Based on this research it can be concluded; first the criminal act of smuggling used in the city of Tanjungpinang has never been given administrative sanctions or criminal sanctions by the authorities, namely Customs because the losses incurred for the criminal act are not large. neatly packaged to look like moving objects, safekeeping items, and souvenirs for foreign travel
