ANALISIS KEMITRAAN PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH MELALUI BANK SAMPAH MENUJU ZERO WASTE DI KOTA BATAM

Abstract

Waste management, especially through the waste bank program, is not only a government matter but requires the involvement of other parties, namely with the private sector and the community, this can be realized through partnerships. This study aims to determine the application of the principles of partnership in waste management in the city of Batam and what factors hinder the partnership. The type of this research is qualitative research where data collection uses interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed using steps that include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. In the Research Analysis of Waste Management Partnerships Towards Zero Waste in Batam City, researchers used Wibisono's theory regarding the principles of partnership. The results of the study can be seen from the principle of equality in waste management through waste banks that have been carried out optimally. The principle of transparency (openness) in waste management through waste banks has been running but has not been carried out optimally. There are obstacles regarding socialization to the surrounding community regarding waste banks and participation in becoming waste bank customers is still minimal. And the coordination of the surrounding devices is still lacking. The principle of mutual benefit in waste management through waste banks is optimal, partnerships have brought benefits to all parties. However, there are several inhibiting factors in this research, namely the lack of coordination and socialization, the lack of community participation and the limited facilities and infrastructure.
