Abstract

The purpose of this study is to be able to see the factors that influence the existence of transnational crime, especially against foreign workers who are in the city of Batam. The method that is applied is a qualitative method, that using with informants and using data collection techniques and tools in the form of observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research carried out at the Imigration office Class I Batam were still found to have transnational crimes that occurred due to the presence of irresponsible elements. From this case, it can be seen that there is still a lack of supervision of irresponsible elements. In this study, the author uses the concept of Transnational Organized Crime which is correlated with the theory of microregionalization and microregionalism. The author uses this concept because the writer wants to show the concept of transnational crime from a different perspective. The author looks at previous research, the concept of Transnational Organized Crime mostly only examines human trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering. The author takes a view that is actually very close of life. The city of Batam is very much a foreigner who works or establishes a business, with a lack of human resources to supervise foreigners who can be indicated as committing violations. Apart from these foreigners, there are also parties who are not responsible for protecting foreigners who commit violations in the city of Batam. To strengthen supervision again, the Imigration office class I Batam itself synergizes with other agencies.
