SOSIALITA MUDA DI KOTA TANJUNGPINANG

Abstract

Socialite is one of the social phenomena that occur in society related to lifestyle. This study aims to find out about the lifestyle of young socialites in Tanjungpinang City. This research was conducted in Tanjungpinang City using qualitative research methods with a descriptive type of approach. The researcher uses qualitative research methods which intend to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by the research subject and then describe it in the form of words and language in a special natural context. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observations and documentation sourced from 11 young informants who were in Senior High School/Vocational School/Islamic Senior High School in Tanjungpinang City, with the selection of informants using purposive sampling technique. Based on the results found in the field and accompanied by analysis, it is obtained that the lifestyle of young socialites in Tanjungpinang City, namely: (1) hanging out culture, (2) look with the trend (fashion and style), and (3) shopping for branded goods.
