Abstract

Child laborers nowadays are faced with an unstable environment. Where the influence of the environment makes an important influence in the activities currently enjoyed by many child workers. He spends these activities with his peers, most of whom are aged who are indeed looking for their individual identities. In addition, these activities are also hedonic, that is, they are only looking for momentary pleasure. The purpose of this study is to find out how the forms of child labor in Tanjungpinang City occur, this study focuses on problems related to child labor behavior, especially child labor in Tanjungpinang City. This research is a qualitative field research. Data was collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with informants, active listening and documentation. The theory used in this research is the theory of structuration from Antony Giddens. Giddens in structuration theory sees the relationship between actors (actions) and structures in the form of duality relationships, in the data analysis method using qualitative descriptive, namely describing and explaining child labor in Tanjungpinang City. From the results obtained in the field that all informants in this study have different criteria for child labor with deviant patterns of action patterns.
