Abstract

Since the enactment of Law Number 40 of 2004 concerning the National Social Security System and Law Number 24 of 2011 concerning the Social Security Organizing Agency, the social security system can be said to apply nationally. Managing Social Security Employment Agency is a public program that aims to provide protection for workers to overcome certain socio-economic risks and their implementation uses social insurance mechanisms. This law mandates that all companies are required to be registered as partners in cooperation with BPJS Employment to protect their workers from work risks. In the City of Tanjungpinang itself the BPJS Employment program has been carried out for a long time, but unfortunately there are still companies that are categorized as non-compliant.This study aims to determine the implementation of the BPJS Employment policy in the City of Tanjungpinang along with matters that are a problem of companies that are not registered as partners in cooperation with BPJS Employment and provide recommendations so that the policy can be implemented optimally.The method used in this research is qualitative research. Qualitative research is used to address the problems associated with implementing the BPJS employment program through the source approach. Qualitative research methods are also used to find out the reasons why a company is not listed along with the perceived impact through the company's workforce approach.
