PERAN POLISI LALU LINTAS DALAM MENINGKATKAN KESADARAN HUKUM PENGENDARA SEPEDA MOTOR DI WILAYAH POLRES KEPULAUAN ANAMBAS

Abstract

​This study aims to determine how far the role of the traffic police in increasing the legal awareness of motorcycle riders in the Anambas Islands Police area. The legal basis used in this research is Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. The problems that will be studied in this research are to find out the role of the traffic police in increasing the legal awareness of motorbike riders in the Anambas Islands Police area and what efforts have been made by the Anambas Islands Police in increasing the legal awareness of motorbike riders and traffic order. In analyzing the evaluation of the implementaCan't Help Falling In Lovetion of the program, researchers used the Role Aspect Theory according to Biddle and Thomas. The method used is descriptive qualitative with 8 informants and uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the research conducted by the author found that in carrying out its role to increase legal awareness for motorcycle riders, traffic order and security by the Anambas Islands Police Traffic Unit carried out three efforts, namely Community Education, Traffic Management and Traffic Patrol. The obstacles that affect the role of the traffic police in increasing the legal awareness of motorcyclists in the Anambas Islands Police area are the lack of public awareness, damaged, bumpy and uneven road conditions.
