Abstract

Stunting is one of the problems that hinders human development globally. Indonesia is the fifth country that has the highest prevalence of stunting children after India, China, Nigeria, and Pakistan. The Indonesian government targets the stunting rate to fall to 14 percent by 2024. The President of the Republic of Indonesia appointed the head of the BKKBN to be the chief executive of the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction. In overcoming stunting, the BKKBN is ready to mobilize the support of 13,734 PKB/PLKB personnel and 1 million cadres spread throughout Indonesia. To prevent this, the government has also launched an integrated stunting prevention intervention program that involves cross-ministerial and institutional. This study aims to find out how the Lingga district government's efforts to reduce stunting rates in Lingga district, the research method used is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation related to efforts to reduce stunting rates in Lingga Regency. The data obtained is then analyzed qualitatively by examining all the data that has been collected and supported by the results of interviews with a theoretical approach. According to Adisasmita (2011: 22) which suggests that management is not only carrying out an activity, but is a series of activities that include management functions that are affected by planning, implementation, and supervision. From the results of the study, it can be seen that based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the efforts of the Lingga district government in reducing stunting rates in Lingga district are quite good, but from the three indicators used are planning, implementation, and supervision. There is one indicator that has not been maximized, namely planning.
