ANALISIS KEARIFAN LOKAL DALAM CERITA RAKYAT DI KECAMATAN TAMBELAN (Studi Kasus Sultan Abdullah Mu’ayat Syah)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the local wisdom of the Sultan Abdullah Mu'ayat Syah folklore. The increasingly modern world, foreign culture that is so quickly entering gradually stories like this are almost eroded away especially the story of the People of Sultan Abdullah Mu'ayat Syah. The story of the Sultan is now rarely told among teenagers and even children. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The informants of this study were the Community of Tambelan District, Bintan Regency, amounting to 10 people, 1 village head, 3 ulama leaders, 6 Tambelan community leaders.
Research results In folklore in Tambelan District, local wisdom contained in the case study of Sultan Abdullah Mu'ayat Syah is as solace, which is a story that contains elements of the adventures (adventures) of the king's children. He tells stories about kings or palace groups with all the images of beauty, luxury, supernatural powers, and extraordinary events. As a means of education, because folklore that is heard indirectly will shape the attitude and morals of the child. Moral teachings or content in folklore will shape the child to be obedient to both parents. Children will feel afraid to be ungodly because they remember the punishment or retribution the child receives in stories if he is ungodly towards his parents. Therefore, folklore is not only as a bedtime story, but can shape the morale of children. As a cultural tool Folklore is a reflection of the culture of the speaker community.
