Abstrak

The research was an experimental study to identify differences on process skills and student’s achievement by using real and virtual laboratories in acid base. The research subjects were students of class XI Science in SMA Negeri 4 Tanjungpinang with a total of 34 students each. This research uses quasi-experimental research type (Quasi Experiment). Experimental research is research carried out by manipulation that aims to determine the effects of manipulation on the behavior of individuals or groups observed. Based on the results of the N-Gain test in both classes it was found that the aspect of the science process skills in the class using the laboratory that experienced the highest increase was the aspect of observing that was equal to 0,68 which was of medium category. In the class that uses a virtual laboratory aspects predict a higher increase than the real class that is equal to 0,75 with the medium category. In the aspect of classifying and communicating in the two classes there are no significant differences. While the aspect of concluding in the real and virtual class has increased by 0,17 and 0,20 with the low category.
