Abstract

The lack of use of teaching tools and materials that are able to stimulate students in practicing mathematical abilities can cause students' abilities to not develop properly and optimally in learning mathematics at school, so it is necessary to develop teaching materials that can improve the ability and activeness of participants so that students in doing a problem solving. This study aims to develop students' work by applying a valid problem-based learning model to train students' abilities. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research with the type of 4D development (Define, design, development, spread), due to the pandemic so it is not possible to go to school, so this decision was decided only to get product validity. The data analysis technique used was quantitative and qualitative by using a questionnaire. The instrument used is a validation sheet by experts.
The data obtained is qualitative data, then converted into quantitative data using index numbers. The results showed that the product in the form of problem-based worksheets met the criteria with an average of 69.25% consisting of 72.60% from material experts, 68.50% from linguists, and 65.12% from media experts, processing this data using the technique of Mr. From the results obtained from the experts, the resulting product category in the form of problem-based worksheets is valid. So this product deserves to be tested in schools.
