Abstrak

This study discusses phonological comparisons that focus on changes in vowel phonemes and consonant phonemes. This is motivated by differences in the pronunciation of language sounds but have the same meaning by the people of Tebang Village, Palmatak District and Air Sena Village, Siantan Tengah District, Anambas Islands Regency. The approach and type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique of this research is in the form of a conversational engagement technique. Based on the results of data collection that has been obtained in the field, the researchers obtained data as many as seventy-three words that experienced changes in vowel phonemes and consonant phonemes, including from vowel /a/ to /o/, vowel /e/ to /a/, vowel / é/ to /i/, vowel /o/ to /u/, vowel /u/ to /o/, vowel /e/ to /o/, vowel /i/ to /é/, vowel /i/ to /a /, consonant /l/ to vowel /i/, vowel /o/ to /a/, consonant /r/ to vowel /i/ and there is a rising diphthong sound, in the language of Air Sena Village, Siantan Tengah District and Tebang Village language Palmatak District, Anambas Islands Regency. The comparison between the two languages ​​lies in the form of pronunciation, namely the people of Air Sena Village are more dominant in using the vowel phoneme /o/ in one word and there is the use of rising diphthongs while the people of Tebang Village are more dominant in using the vowel phoneme /e/. The language of the people of Tebang Village and Air Sena Village.
