Abstrak

The limitations of teaching materials used by teachers can be boring for students and caused the possibility of educational output to be of less quality. The use of teaching materials that were less effective and involve students in the learning process causes students to lack understanding of the material, one of which is in the subject matter of molecular forms. Data collection techniques were conducted by interviewing one chemistry teacher at MAN Bintan. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The main findings in this study are based on the results of interviews with chemistry teachers, namely: 1) the use of teaching materials is less varied, 2) the learning process is carried out using the lecture method, question and answer and discussion, 3) the teaching materials Thus, it is necessary to develop guided inquiry-based electronic LKPD with a maritime context on molecular form material, to be able to increase students' enthusiasm and motivation to learn.used by the teacher are in the form of textbooks, printed worksheets, and Powerpoints. While the results of interviews with students are: 1) the shape of the molecule is a material that is difficult to understand, 2) learning using technology has not been applied.
