Abstrak

This research aims to analyze the needs of development of electronic modules based on science, environment, technology, society (SETS) in chemical bonding materials. This research was conducted on students of class X SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Kijang. The analysis carried out is the analysis of the results of the interviews and the analysis of the suitability of the syllabus and lesson plans in learning. The type of research conducted is descriptive qualitative research. The first step is to interview teachers and students about teaching materials that are often used in learning and to find out how the teaching materials are expected by students in learning. The second stage is to analyze the suitability of the syllabus and lesson plans which are used as a reference in the development of SETS-based electronic modules. From the two stages of analysis carried out, it can be concluded that teachers and students need teaching materials that can be owned by each student so that students become more independent. teaching materials in the form of electronic modules in which there are pictures, learning videos, examples of questions, as well as explanations regarding the connection of science or chemical bonds with technology, the environment and society so that learning becomes more meaningful.
