Abstract

This study aims to describe the skills of writing the text of the procedure of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kiabu Anambas Islands Regency. The type of research that will be used in this research is descriptive with quantitative approach.  The technique used in data collection in this study is quantitative data collection technique in the form of tests. This study was conducted with a population of 15 people, namely grade VII students of Junior High School 1 Kiabu, with a sample of 15 students because if the population is less than 100 then the sample is taken from the entire population then the sample in this study is all students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Kiabu Anambas Islands Regency. The result of the research that has been done is the skill of writing the text of the procedure of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kiabu Anambas Islands District obtained an average score of 70. It is described that students who are able or get a score of 86-100 number 6 people, students who get a score of 72-85 numbered 2 people, students who get a score of 56-71 numbered 1 person, students who get a score of less than 55 numbered 6 people. From the aspect of assessment writing structure can be known students who get excellent grades that are as many as 5 people, students who get good grades as much as 1 person, students who get good enough grades as many as 9 people. From the aspect of language assessment can be known students who get excellent grades as much as 8 people, students whoole good grades as much as 1 person, students who get enough grades as  many as 2 people and students who get bad grades as many as 4 people
