PENGEMBANGAN KOMIK KIMIA (KOMIA) BERBASIS BUDAYA MELAYU PADA MATERI PERKEMBANGAN MODEL ATOM UNTUK PESERTA DIDIK KELAS X

Abstract

One of the problems were confronted in teaching and learning processis the teachers are still using conventional methods (lectures) that cause students be less active to participating in the learning process. One of the solution to resolve the problem is using media in learning process. The purpose of this research is to create a chemistry comic (KOMIA) based on Malay culture in the valid and practical. This research is a development research (Research and Development) using the 4D model, those are define, design, develop, disseminate and are limited to the develop stage. The research subjects were educators, students of class X MIPA SMAN 3 Tanjungpinang, totaling 5 people on a small scale and 20 students on a large scale. The data was collected by means of a questionnaire and the data analysis technique used was quantitative analysis techniques. The results showed that the media of chemical comics based on valid Malay culture obtained from the results of the evaluation of material specialist’s was 74.67% with valid criteria, media specialist’s were 81.11% with very valid criteria and 80% linguist specialist’s with valid criteria. The practicality test results obtained from the response of educators of 96% with very practical criteria and the response of small-scale students of 83.2% with very practical criteria and large scale of 90.67% with very practical criteria. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that comic media is valid and practical as a source of independent learning.
