Abstract

This research is motivated to see the value of local culture in the Kepulauan Riau in the book Collection of the Folk Story of Patahnya Gunung Daik Karya Abdul Razak. The object of this study is the book Collection of the Patahnya Gunung Daik Karya Abdul Razak. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used by library research. The data analysis technique is done by the content analysis technique. The results of research on the value of local culture in the Kepulauan Riau in the book Collection of Patahnya Gunung Daik's Folk Story by Abdul Razak revealed the value of local culture contained in the story of patahnya Gunung Daik, Bawang Putih, Datuk Kaya Montel, Apeng Weng Thai, Batu Ampar. The value of the local culture of the Kepulauan Riau found in the Collection of the Story of Patahnya Gunung Daik is the value of religion, social values, values if characters, values of education. These values are contained in dialogue and narration in each story. The value of local culture is in line with the teachings of Islam which is the majority religion in the Riau Islands, the value of local culture is part of the aspects of Islam namely Hablum Minallah, Hablum Minannas, Hablum 'alam, that folklore that has the local culture of Kepulauan Riau. It can be used as material, and learning material in learning in schools, especially in junior high schools in KD 3.11 Identifying information about local fables/legends that are read and heard.
