Abstract

In the current era, technological developments are increasingly sophisticated so that it can have an impact on a cultural crisis. So that culture is not forgotten, it is necessary to inculcate cultural values ​​in the world of education. Indonesian society is surrounded by culture that has been passed down since the past, a culture has characteristics that distinguish it from other cultures, one of the differences is in the arts. An art that is currently developing rapidly and used especially by the people of Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province is the art of the Marawis musical instrument. In the school environment, students are familiar with the art of Marawis musical instruments. For this reason, by linking Marawis art in this learning, students can understand learning and at the same time recognize Marawis art. Limited teaching materials can hinder in realizing effective learning. This study aims to develop an e-module based on the ethnomathematics of Marawis art on the topic of flat shapes assisted by sigil software. This type of research is Research and Development using a 4D research model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). In this study, it was only carried out until the validation stage by experts without conducting field trials. The data obtained in the study through a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive analysis. The data obtained is in the form of qualitative data so that the data is first converted into quantitative data using MSR. Through material expert validation, an average assessment of 70.48% was obtained with valid criteria, while media expert validation obtained an average assessment of 47.71% with quite valid criteria. The validation results show that the developed e-module is declared valid and worthy of trial.
