Abstract

The lack of integration of chemical representations made students less able to understand chemical concepts. To make it easier for students, learning media can be used that integrate chemical representations with the android system. This study aims to: 1) develop android learning media based on chemical representations on buffer solution material for SMA/MA students; 2) to know the validity of android learning media based on chemical representation in buffer solution material for SMA/MA students; 3) knowing the practicality of android learning media based on chemical representation in buffer solution material for SMA/MA students. This study uses the Research and Development research model with the ADDIE research model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages, in this study only used until the implementation stage. The data for this study came from two validators, a teacher and 37 students at SMA Negeri 23 Batam. From the media validation, the results obtained are 97.22% with a very valid category and material validation results are obtained 77.5% with a valid category. The results of the practicality test of android learning media based on chemical representation in the buffer solution material for teachers and students were obtained 94.44% and 91.61% with very practical criteria. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the android media based on chemical representation in the buffer solution material is suitable for use in learning.
