Abstract

Thi This study aims to describe the values of character in the film Alani Hapogoson by Ponty Gea. The object of research is the film Alani Hapogoson by Ponty Gea. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used is documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out using content analysis techniques. The results obtained from the character values in the Alani Hapogoson film, there are three types of character values including the value of moral character towards God Almighty, the value of moral character towards fellow humans, and the value of moral character towards the environment. Based on the results of research on character values in the film Alani Hapogoson, morals towards God Almighty include: 1) obedience to God and 2) faith in God. The values of moral character towards fellow human beings include: honesty, 2) discipline, 3) curiosity, 4) patience, and 5) responsibility. The values of moral character towards the environment include: 1) caring for others and 2) helping each other. Of the three values of character, it is found in the attitude of the main character which always reflects good and positive character values.
