Abstract

The lack of chemistry learning media in schools makes students less interested in learning. In order for chemistry learning  to be more interesting, contextual learning media with the Android operation system are needed. This research was aim to: 1) develop maritime integrated Android-based chemistry learning media on salt hydrolysis material for SMA/MA students; 2) determined the validity of the maritime integrated android-based chemistry learning media on salt hydrolysis material for SMA/MA students; 3) find out the practicality of maritime-based integrated chemistry learning media on salt hydrolysis material for SMA/MA students. This study were used the Research and Development (R&D) method, with the ADDIE model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation, in this study only used until the Implementation stage. The media was validated by one media validator and one material validator, then tested on 20 students of class XI and one chemistry teacher at MAN Bintan. The results showed that the maritime integrated android-based chemistry learning media on salt hydrolysis material for SMA/MA students was declared valid, both material aspects with a percentage of 92.25% and media aspects with a percentage of 85% with both categories very valid. The percentage of students' practicality to the developed product is 80.62% in the practical category and the teacher's practicality percentage is 91.66% in the very practical category.
