Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the critical thinking skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Buru in solving PISA questions. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive research type, the research subject is determined by purposive sampling. The subjects taken were 6 students. The research data was obtained from the analysis of students' answers to the PISA test questions with a total of 5 questions and interview tests. Research conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Buru shows that 4% of students have very low levels of critical thinking skills, 48% of students with low levels of critical thinking skills, 37% of students have moderate critical thinking skills and 11%. students who have high critical thinking skills. The low critical thinking ability of students is found in question number 5 and the low level of students' critical thinking ability lies in question number 2
