ANALISIS EUFEMISME DAN DISFEMISME CHANNEL YOUTUBE PODCAST DEDDY CORBUZIER SEPTEMBER 2020

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of euphemism and dysphemism in Deddy Corbuzier's podcast. The method in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source in this study is Deddy Corbuzier's podcast on 29 September 2020 in Jakarta. The technique of collecting data from this research is using the document technique. The instrument used in this study is a human instrument, namely the researcher himself with his knowledge of collecting data based on the criteria understood about euphemism and dysphemism contained in Deddy Corbuzier's podcast. The results of the research in Deddy Corbuzier's podcast show that more forms of euphemism were found than dysphemism in Deddy Corbuzier's podcast on 29 September 2020 in Jakarta. The euphemisms found were the use of abbreviations, the use of loan words, the use of foreign terms, the use of metaphors, and the use of periphrasis. The results of the use of euphemisms that often appear are the use of abbreviations and the use of foreign terms that express activities and circumstances. In addition, the function of euphemisms that often appear is for politeness and comfort. While the results of the use of the form of dysphemism that often appear are in the form of the use of metaphors. This is also reinforced by the types of references that often appear, namely stating activities and circumstances. In addition, the function of dysphemism that often arises is to express anger and irritation.
