This study aims to understand the effect of the level of financial literacy on financial management practices on SME actors based on the financial literacy framework consisting of 4 variables, which are financial knowledge, financial behavior, financial attitude, and financial training as independent variables (Sari, 2018).The indicators of financial management practices in this study consist of seven indicators, which are cash management, receivable management, inventory management, financing management, and financial reporting and analysis (Sari, 2018).
The samples in this study are SME actors which is doing business in the Sei. Lekop Village, Bintan Timur District, Bintan Regency. The number of samples are 47 SME actors. The research data obtained using a questioner. Path analysis is used to process the data with multiple regression analysis.
The results of this research shows the financial literacy level and financial management practices of SME actors are in the level of sufficient literate dan less literate. Scores of respondents for financial knowledge 64,47% (sufficient literate), financial behavior 55,34% (less literate), financial attitudes 61,28% (sufficient literate), financial training 45,37% (less literate), and financial management 46,85% (less literate). Four variables of financial literacy simultaneously have a significant effect on financial management practices. Partially, the three variables of financial literacy, namely financial knowledge, financial behavior and financial training have a significant positive effect on financial managemet, but financial attitude do not have a significant positive effect on financial management. The model research has pseudo Adjusted R2 65,7%.
