This research was conducted in Batu Limau Village, Ungar District, Karimun Regency in 2020 about the net income of longline fishermen. The purpose of this study was to examine whether variables such as investment capital, operational costs, maintenance costs and fishing experience have an influence on the net income of fishermen in the village of Batu Limau, Ungar district, Karimun district.
The population in this study were all fishermen who owned longlines in Batu Limau Village, Ungar District, while the object of research (sample) was 40 people. Data collection techniques were obtained from questionnaires, interviews or primary data sources. The data were tested using the Classical Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, Hypothesis Testing and Coefficient of Determination (R²).
The results showed that the variables of investment capital, operational costs, maintenance costs and fisherman's business experience simultaneously had a significant influence on the net income of longline fishermen. Investment capital has a significant and negative effect on the net income of longline fishermen, operational costs significantly and negatively affect the net income of longline fishermen, maintenance costs have a significant and negative effect on income and fishing business experience has a significant and negative effect on net income of longline fishermen.
