Abstract

Communication services using WebRTC require quality and quantity of services in the sense that they are in the range 4 – 2 (Excellent – Medium) according to TIPHON standards so that the information sent and received is conveyed properly. The reason for conducting this research is to determine the bandwidth requirements and QoS performance of video call services on the WebRTC platform based on resolution. The analysis was carried out by two users with approximately 20 minutes in VGA and HD sessions, with trial of six samples taken by a certain time. Bandwidth and QoS were analyzed using Wireshark software. The results of analysis show that the highest average bandwidth requirement is found at HD resolution of 4,3 Mbps, the highest average delay is found at VGA resolution of 1,9 ms, the highest average packet loss is found at HD resolution of 0,8%, the highest average throughput is found at HD resolution of 4,3 Mbps, and the highest average jitter is found at HD resolution of 4,0 x 10^6 ms.
