Abstract

Driving safety is very important in the aspect of traffic, high speed in driving is a major factor causing traffic accidents, therefore with the speed limiting device can reduce the number of traffic accidents. Speed limit is done by cutting off the flow of electrical signals from the pulser (ignition trigger sensor) to the CDI. The electrical signal is disconnected through a mechanical relay with an on-off algorithm controlled by an ATMega16 microcontroller. By utilizing the speedometer sensor on the motorcycle as a speed sensor, by detecting the number of rounds of input metal objects contained in the front chain gear. If the results of the speed measurement exceed the value of the speed limit, the microcontroller will provide a further warning to cut off the ignition signal of the motorcycle.
