Abstract

The output voltage of the solar penel is large and does not meet the needs of the pump requires control so that the voltage can be adjusted to the needs of pumping loads. Piping depth affects the filling time of the water reservoir. Therefore, the characterization of solar dc pump (Direct Current) as the driver of water transfer is done to see the difference in the filling time of the reservoir with a height of 2, 3, and 4 meters and horizontal trajectory of 20, 40, and 60 meters for water flow. The test used 150 Wp solar panel, charge controller, 55 Ah battery and 12 Volt Dc Pump. Data processing and analysis is done descriptively. The test results showed that the 12 Volt DC pump can work maximum with a flow height of 2 and 3 meters with the acquisition of 5 to 9 liters /min. The results of the furthest test with a height of 4 meters and a horizontal trajectory of 40 meters showed that the pump was still working but with a small flow volume of 2 liters/minute. While the best trajectory for the application of small-scale pump storage with a 12 Volt pump is a track with a height of 3 meters.
