Abstract

Increased productivity and increasing public demand for coconuts, encouraged coconut plantation owners to be able to calculate the number of coconuts and estimate the total selling price of coconuts quickly, which previously still uses manual calculations. This manual calculation is done by calculating coconuts one by one which is then summed up with the selling price of coconuts. The manual calculation method has some drawbacks such as very long calculation time, human fatigue in calculating as well as inaccurate in the calculation results. The automatic calculation method is expected to provide a solution to the shortcomings obtained from the manual calculation method. In this study will be designed a prototype tool penhitung the amount and price of coconut by using weight as a perameternya. The coconuts will be sorted using a designed servo and then move and group by weight category. The data of the sorting and calculation of coconuts that successfully fall into the category of weight will be stored in realtime on the SD Card Module. The results showed prototype coconut counting and price counters were able to sort coconuts by size and move coconuts according to coconut category automatically. Arduino Mega2560 used can control load cells, and control 3 servo with additional PCA9685 module. The load cell sensor used can be categorized as good but has a difference in readings due to unstable voltage when the whole system is operated.
