The process of cutting cables is usually done using cutting tools that are done manually by humans. The process of cutting the cable manually is very labor and time consuming. The design of internet of things-based automatic cable cutting tools aims at practicality, effectiveness and reducing the risk of accidents in the cable cutting process. This cable cutting tool is applied to cut cables with a cable length of 5 cm and 10 cm with a cable diameter of 1.5 mm. The device for determining the size of the cable uses a stepper motor. The way the stepper motor works is that it rotates and pulls up to 5 cm and 10 cm then it is cut by scissors driven by a servo motor. Cable sizes of 5 cm and 10 cm can be input remotely via the Blynk which is controlled via the ESP8266. The first test was carried out by cutting the cable 10 times at a size of 50 mm to get an accurate size of 5 cm with a cutting time of 13 seconds. The second test was carried out by cutting the cable 10 times at a size of 100 mm, it was found that the size was almost accurate, namely 9.9 cm to 10 cm with a cutting time of 16 seconds.
