Abstract

The potential of tidal energy equipped with floodgates aims to produce a power plant with a
laboratory scale, precisely on the Raja Ali Haji Maritime University campus. Based on research
through experimental methods, measurement and analysis of the generator power capacity of 12 W
accompanied by a turbine model design made of aluminum with a cross-sectional area of 0.005m2
has not been able to be used on the simulator. The plug simulator that has been tested with 36 liters
of water only gets a maximum peak voltage output of 0.574 VAC and produces the highest power of
0.00651 watts, this is because the blocked air is not always constant.
